Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the MatchMyHair website or submitting any information through our platform. By accessing matchmyhair.co or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website.

1. About MatchMyHair

MatchMyHair (“we”, “us” or “our”) is an Irish online discovery and matching platform that helps clients find hairdressers and hair stylists based on their hair type, goals, budget and location. You can contact us at MatchMyHair@outlook.com.

Important: MatchMyHair is a discovery and matching platform only. We do not provide hair services ourselves. We do not employ, contract or represent any of the stylists listed or matched through our platform. Any hair service booked as a result of using MatchMyHair is a private arrangement between the client and the stylist.

We are based in Ireland and these terms are governed by Irish law.

2. Who Can Use This Platform

MatchMyHair is intended for:

• Clients aged 16 or over who are looking for a hair stylist in Ireland
• Professional hairstylists, hairdressers and hair and scalp specialists based in Ireland who wish to be listed on the platform

By using this website you confirm that you are at least 16 years of age. If you are under 16, please do not submit any personal information through our site.

3. MatchMyHair Is a Discovery Platform Only

This is the most important section of these terms. Please read it carefully.

3.1 We Do Not Provide Hair Services

MatchMyHair does not cut, colour, style or treat hair. We do not offer any professional hair services. All hair services are provided independently by the stylists listed on or matched through our platform.

3.2 We Are Not Responsible for Stylist Services

We are not responsible for:

• The quality, safety or outcome of any hair service provided by a stylist found through MatchMyHair
• Any damage, loss, injury or dissatisfaction arising from a hair appointment booked as a result of using our platform
• Any dispute between a client and a stylist
• Any failure by a stylist to honour an appointment or deliver a service as agreed
• Any financial transaction between a client and a stylist

3.3 Stylists Are Independent Professionals

All stylists featured on MatchMyHair are independent professionals or employees of independent salons. They are not agents, employees or representatives of MatchMyHair. We do not supervise, monitor or control the services they provide.

3.4 Booking Is Your Responsibility

Any booking made through a stylist's own system (such as booking links, Instagram or any other platform) is made directly between you and the stylist. MatchMyHair is not a party to that booking. Any cancellations, refunds or disputes are between you and the stylist directly.

4. Matching, Search and Stylist Listings

4.1 How Matching Works

Our matching quizzes (“Get matched” and the Bride to Be quiz) suggest stylists automatically, based on your answers and on the information stylists give us about their skills, location and the way they work. Matches are suggestions to help you choose. They are not a recommendation, endorsement or guarantee, and the final choice of stylist is always yours.

4.2 Accuracy of Information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that stylist profiles on our platform are accurate and up to date. However we cannot guarantee the accuracy of all information provided by stylists, including their specialities, pricing, availability or location. We recommend that you confirm all details directly with a stylist before booking an appointment.

4.3 We Do Not Endorse Any Stylist

The appearance of a stylist on MatchMyHair does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation or guarantee of the quality of their services. We list stylists in good faith based on the information they provide to us. A “Verified” badge means we have checked a stylist's specialisms (for example by reviewing their work). A “Founding Stylist” badge means the stylist joined during our launch. Neither badge is a guarantee of any particular result.

4.4 How Search Results and Matches Are Ranked

Stylists rate their own skill in each service as Specialist, Confident, Does it or Doesn't do. When you search for a service, we only show stylists rated Specialist or Confident in it. Results are then ordered as follows:

• if you choose several services, stylists who offer more of them come first
• stylists rated Specialist come before those rated Confident
• stylists whose specialisms we have verified come before those not yet verified

Your chosen county narrows the results. In our matching quizzes, stylists in your county (or who travel to you, for bridal) are also given priority. The Founding Stylist badge does not affect ranking. Stylists cannot pay to appear higher in search results or matches, and we do not receive commission from bookings.

4.5 Removal of Listings

We reserve the right to remove any stylist from our platform, including if we receive credible complaints about their conduct or the quality of their services, or if they break these terms. Where we remove or suspend a professional's listing, we will tell them why, unless the law prevents us.

5. Professional Accounts

If you create a professional account, you agree that:

• you are a hair professional based in Ireland, and the information on your profile (including your skill ratings, location, prices and booking link) is accurate, honest and kept up to date
• you will rate yourself Specialist only in services you are genuinely highly experienced in
• you will keep your password private and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account
• you have the necessary rights and permissions for any photos and videos you add, including permission from any identifiable clients or models featured (as confirmed in the consent you give when you submit your profile)

We review profiles before they go live, and may ask you to change something or decline a profile at our discretion. You can close your account at any time by emailing us. We will then remove your profile, photos and videos within 30 days.

We provide account holders with statistics about their profile (such as views and booking-link clicks) and may email them when a client clicks to book. These statistics are a guide and may not be exact.

5.1 Future Professionals (junior stylists)

Future Professionals are hairdressing students, apprentices and newly qualified stylists. They are shown in their own section, clearly labelled, and are not listed as qualified hair professionals. If you join as a Future Professional, you agree that the stage of training and salon or academy shown on your profile are accurate, and that you will only offer services you are allowed to carry out at your stage of training, with supervision where required.

5.2 Hair Model Calls

Future Professionals can post model calls. Calls go live as soon as they are posted by an approved Future Professional, and we may hide any call at our discretion. The cost, date, location and what's included are set by the Future Professional, who must keep them accurate and mark a call as filled when it is. When a client taps "I'm interested", we pass the client's first name, email, preferred contact method (and mobile number or Instagram handle, if they choose those) and any message they write to that Future Professional, who sees it on their account, so they can arrange the appointment. We delete these requests after 30 days. Any appointment is an arrangement between the client and the Future Professional (and their salon or college). MatchMyHair does not take part in it and is not responsible for it. Clients must be 16 or over, and should not share medical details in their message.

6. Fees

Joining as a hair professional is currently free while we launch.

We may introduce a subscription or other fees for professionals in the future. If we do, we will tell professional account holders by email at least 30 days before any fee applies, explain exactly what it covers, and we will never charge you without your agreement. If you don't want to pay, you can close your account before any fee starts.

7. Reviews

Clients can leave a star rating and comment on a stylist's profile. By leaving a review you confirm that:

• it is based on your own genuine experience with that stylist, in your own words
• you have not been paid, given a discount or offered anything in return for it
• you are not the stylist, a member of their family or team, or a competitor
• it does not include anyone's personal details, health information, or anything offensive, false or defamatory

How reviews are checked: every reviewer must confirm their email address, and we read every review before it is published. We cannot confirm that every reviewer had an appointment. We may decline or remove reviews that break these rules, but we do not remove reviews simply because they are negative, and stylists cannot pay to remove or change reviews. If you think a review breaks these rules, please email us.

8. Quiz Answers and Emails

If you ask us to email you your matches, you agree that the information you give is accurate and that we may email you about it. You can ask us to delete your information at any time by emailing MatchMyHair@outlook.com. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

9. User Conduct

When using MatchMyHair you agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading or fraudulent information
• Impersonate another person or business
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our platform
• Post or share any content that is offensive, defamatory or harmful
• Use our platform to spam or send unsolicited messages to stylists or other users
• Copy or collect stylist information from our platform in bulk (for example by automated scraping)

We reserve the right to remove any content or suspend access to any user who violates these terms.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on matchmyhair.co including the MatchMyHair name, logo, design and text is owned by or licensed to MatchMyHair. You may not copy, reproduce or use any of this content without our written permission.

Stylists keep ownership of the photos, videos and text they add to their profile. By adding them, stylists grant MatchMyHair a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display them on the website and to use them on MatchMyHair's social media to promote their work and the platform, for as long as their profile is listed. Stylists can ask us to stop using any item at any time.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law, MatchMyHair shall not be liable for:

• Any direct, indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of our platform
• Any loss or damage arising from a hair service provided by a stylist found through MatchMyHair
• Any inaccuracy in stylist profile information
• Any technical issues, downtime or errors on our website
• Any loss of data

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under Irish law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

12. Third Party Links and Content

Our website contains links to third party platforms including stylist booking systems, Instagram, TikTok and other social media, and some stylist profiles show Instagram or TikTok videos. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices or terms of those third parties. Visiting or using them is at your own risk.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time as our platform develops. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. For professional account holders, we will email you about any change that affects you at least 15 days before it takes effect (or longer where the change requires it, such as the 30 days' notice for fees). Continued use of MatchMyHair after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

14. Questions and Complaints

If you have a question or a complaint about MatchMyHair, including about how a listing, ranking or review was handled, please email MatchMyHair@outlook.com. We aim to reply within 14 days.

15. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising from your use of MatchMyHair will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
